After lunch, you will get to enjoy your first game drive in the conservancy until sunset when you return for dinner and overnight at Solio Lodge (Game Package).

Day 3: At Solio Conservancy

Solio Conservancy is a 19,000-acre private wildlife conservancy surrounded by a 45,000-acre ranch tucked between the slopes of Mt. Kenya to the East and the Aberdare Ranges to the West and is home to one of the highest densities of black and white rhinos (over 600 white rhinos and over 200 black rhinos). After many successful relocations of rhinos into the conservancy, it is now not uncommon to find sightings of up to 100 rhinos in one location. This makes it one of the best places to photograph and film large crashes of white rhinos as they graze in the open grassland as well as the often shy black rhinos that prefer to browse in the shrubs. Alongside the rhinos, you will also find lions, buffaloes, zebras, and giraffes among other animals.

You will start with an early morning game drive looking for Lion, Leopard & Black Rhino, then enjoy a picnic breakfast in the yellow bark acacia forest. This will be followed by a midmorning drive to view large numbers of White Rhino sunbathing out on the plains. Lunch at the Lodge and then an afternoon game drive and ending the day with sundowners and a night drive back to the Lodge. Your overnight will be at Solio Lodge (Game Package)

Day 4: Solio – Ol Pejeta Safari Cottages

After a sumptuous breakfast at the lodge, you will proceed to Ol Pejeta Conservancy which is located not far from Solio Conservancy, a travelling time of one and a half hours. You will arrive in time for Lunch where you will be met by the owners and hosts, Andy and Sonja Webb. You will have an afternoon game drive in the conservancy followed by sundowners and a night game drive. Dinner will be at the cottages. Overnight will be at Ol Pejeta Safari Cottages (Game Package)

Day 5: At Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Ol Pejeta Conservancy hosts the largest population of black rhinos with over one hundred black rhinos and is also home to the only two remaining northern white rhinos left in the world: Najin and Fatu, after the death of Sudan. Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary is also located inside the conservancy and provides a haven for rescued, abandoned and orphaned chimpanzees and is the only place in Kenya where chimpanzees can be found. In addition, the conservancy also hosts good numbers of Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Black and White Rhino and the Cape Buffalo. numbers of Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Black and White Rhino and the Cape Buffalo.

The rare and endangered African wild dog can on occasion be seen in the conservancy. Other animals present include Beisa Oryx, Jackson’s hartebeest, Serval cat, Cheetah and the Bat-eared fox. These are in addition to the rare and endangered Reticulated Giraffes, Vervet monkeys, and Baboons amongst others.

You will have an entire day doing game drives, photographing these animals and experiencing their unique behaviour in their native habitat. Dinner and overnight will at the Ol Pejeta Safari Cottages (Game Package).

Day 6: Ol Pejeta – Naboisho, Maasai Mara

You will be transferred to Nanyuki Airstrip after breakfast, where you will catch your scheduled flight to Maasai Mara’s Ol Seki Airstrip in Naboisho Conservancy. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your camp where you will arrive in time for lunch. An afternoon game drive will be followed by dinner and overnight at Encounter Mara Camp (Game Package)

Day 7 & 10: At Naboisho Conservancy, Maasai Mara

Naboisho Conservancy is a private conservancy located in the Maasai Mara ecosystem. This conservancy boasts a very high density of lions with an estimated 100 lions being resident inside the conservancy, and those frequenting it. This means that the conservancy is also home to herds of gazelles, giraffes and other grazers that complete the food chain for the lions. The conservancy serves as a migratory corridor for the annual Loita wildebeest and zebra migration. Close to the camp is a river where you will see hippos, crocodiles & a vast array of bird life.

Being a private conservancy with only a few camps and lodges makes the conservancy one of the few places you can enjoy the Mara ecosystem with a touch of exclusivity due to the limited number of visitors allowed in the conservancy. These nights will be spent at Encounter Mara Camp (Game Package).

Day 11: Naboisho – Nairobi

This day will start with a morning game drive followed by a hot breakfast at the camp. You will then say goodbyes to Warren as he departs for his early flight home. The rest of your morning will be spent at leisure in the camp and after lunch you will be transferred to Naboisho’s Ol Seki Airstrip for your flight to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport where on arrival you will be received and transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your outbound flight home.
